V = x³ - (x - 4)³

  = x³ - (x - 4)²(x-4)

  = x³ - (x²-8 x + 16)(x-4)

  = x³ -(x³ - 4 x² - 8 x² + 32 x + 16 x - 64)

  = x³ - (x³ - 12 x² + 48 x - 64)

  = x³ - x³ + 12 x² - 48 x + 64

 = 12 x² - 48 x + 64 = 208

⇔ 12 x² - 48 x - 144 = 0

⇔ 12(x² - 4 x - 12) = 0

⇔ x² - 4 x - 12 = 0

Δ = 16  + 48 = 64 ⇒ √64 = 8

x1 = 4 + 8)/2 = 12/2 = 6

x2 = 4 -8)/2 = - 2 ne convient pas

le côté du grand cube est de 6 m
